WILLIAM WALTER BOLTON, President and CEO, Mechanical Engineer

Walt serves as the President and CEO of BESI, bringing over 20 years of experience in managing and delivering engineering services across a diverse range of design and construction projects. His leadership skills and core values have been profoundly shaped by his military service as an officer in both the infantry and intelligence branches of the Army. Throughout his career, Walt has successfully managed and coordinated multi-year, multimillion-dollar contracts, consistently providing high-quality professional services on time and within budget.

Walt holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a Multi-Disciplinary Program Certificate in Bioengineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, as well as a Bachelor of Arts from Oglethorpe University. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in thirteen Southeastern states and a licensed General Contractor in Alabama and South Carolina. Additionally, he is a certified Green Globes Professional and a LEED Accredited Professional in Building Design and Construction.

Passionate about education and community, Walt is one of the founders of Ordo Amoris Christian Academy in Fairhope and continues to serve as a member of the board of directors. Walt and his wife Danielle are also active members of Redeemer Lutheran Church. Having called Baldwin County home for over 25 years, Walt and his family enjoy the vibrant coastal lifestyle and close-knit community of Fairhope where they currently reside.

With over two decades of experience, Suzel is a skilled project manager, design director, and architectural designer. Her expertise spans military, medical, residential, and commercial sectors, bringing excellence in construction quality management and evidence-based design.

Since joining BESI in 2008, she has led third-party relations, operational logistics, and strategic planning, all while delivering innovative design solutions rooted in research. Suzel is committed to improving environments, particularly in healthcare facilities, by enhancing patient flow and experience through smart design.
